Every month we feature a customer success story, to inspire you on your hair growth journey. This time we spoke to Alida from the Netherlands who shared hers.

Whilst already being on a journey of discovering how to care for her wavy hair, Alida faced the unwelcome reality of postpartum hair loss. After having her second child, the hair loss has worsened that led her to discover The Hair Fuel mask. Today Alida is sharing her hair journey.

Tell us a bit about your hair journey, Alida.

My hair journey started a few years ago during the Covid Pandemic. I always knew I had wavy hair but never knew how to properly take care of it. I was also used to straighten my hair every day because I was told many times that my hair looks better when straight. I always felt like being myself wasnt good enough. But I decided it was time for a change and time for self acceptance.  So, 2020 was the year when I started to do research about hair care…

What lifestyle changes have made the biggest difference for your hair?

Sice 2020 I introduced a proper hair routine. I did research on products that work on my hair type. Trust me it was a lot of trial and error! I know my hair loves protein and lightweight products. I switched from drugstore products to more high end, pure products which really seem to help. Also the way I wash my hair – is very different from how it was before. I focus on cleaning my scalp with a scalp brush to ensure all the build up is gone and use conditioner only on the lengths of my hair. Also focusing on a healthy diet seems to have improved my hair’s state. Drinking lots of water and eating a variety of food definitely helps!

Why did you decide to try The Hair Fuel?

After the birth of my first daughter I was shock by how much postpartum hair loss I had, but at that time I never heard of The Hair Fuel. In 2022 I gave birth to my second daughter and I already knew it would happen again. I had so much hair loss that it created some very low density spots at the top of my head. Fortunately I saw many girls on Instagram using the mask and I got curious. But to be completely honest, I did not have high expectations at all. I just didn’t see how a treatment like this could help you grow your hair.

What results have you experienced with the mask?

I was very surprised about the results. After a month I started seeing my baby hairs coming back. The spot became more dense and my hair fot thicker!

What advice could you share with someone who is struggling in their hair growth journey?

My advice would be to find a routine that works for you. Figure  out what your hair needs and stick to that routine. Be patient. Change takes time. And, even though I started my hair journey in 2020 I am still learning every day. Be patient and consistent and it your hair will thank you!
